I found much of this book to be extremely interesting, as I enjoy anything that deals in psychological inquiries. I enjoyed the earlier chapters that dealt with evolution, altruism, cooperation and social psychology in general. At this time I assumed that the book is based on science, judging by the reference to the many studies mentioned in the book. I did find the many references to God a little confusing, and although I believe that religion has a large part to play in how people act, as well as reconcile their need for punishment, I was a little surprised that the subject matter was not kept within the realm of pure science. That said, I found the Punisher's Brain to be an engaging read that was filled with interesting information. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in neuroscience, psychology (especially Social psychology) as well as criminology.… (mehr)
