Isanne, Symon, and their daughter live London in the year 1348. The Black Death has killed many and infected Isanne’s family. Isanne has survived, yet Simon and their daughter remain ill and near death. Somehow (this is not clear), Isanne and Symon travel through time and end up in the twenty-first century. In the same century but separated by time and continents.

Isanne blames Symon for bringing the plague into their home and causing the death of their daughter. Symon blames himself for his lack of faith, which, he feels, caused the death of his daughter and the separation from his wife. Time has passed: can Isanne forgive Symon, and can Symon forgive himself. Can faith and forgiveness reignite love?

Laura Hogg has written a novella romance, time travel, faith, love, and the power of God. I would have liked a better explanation of how Symon and Isanne traveled to the furure.… (mehr)
