Another high quality excellent guide to the history, horticulture and tasting of various herbs both common and rare. It’s a great comprehensive account of accessible information with wonderful illustrations. Recommended.
This is a good book to keep in the toilet or keep on your bedside-table. It contains a fascinating collection of interesting facts about plants and their biology, their uses, the mythology surrounding them and some interesting derivations of their names. The book was a little light on the science for my liking, but would suit a novice.
