Kathy Ireland

The only reason why I gave this book an average rating was because I knew most of the information in it, when it came to cleaning house and financial advice. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Kathy is a Christian, and seems to know how to handle so many personal situations in life the Christian way. If I was only rating on that perspective (and the last chapter concentrates heavily on that), I would have rated it 5 stars. Kathy gave so many good examples of what to do when in a bad situation, that I would highly recommend this book to be read, especially by young mothers starting out.… (mehr)

What to say what to say..I tend to enjoy Rachels books, and I did follow Kathy Ireland when she was very famous, however I thought I would actually enjoy more. Not that I didn't but I expected more. I wondered what was fiction and what wasn't since the books is based on some actual facts and I think I tended to enjoy wondering what was what. There were 4 different views and sometimes I feel liked I missed something.. But hey you might get it and like it more than me..

It seems that many of the books out there for moms have deep roots in the Christian faith. While this is by no means a negative thing - it can limit its readership, and turn people off to what might be a good message.

In this case, there is very little new or innovative here; instead Kathy Ireland, once a megastar model, dishes out homey advice, tried and true techniques and simple viewpoints. Sometimes it is good to be reminded of what we already know - but a limited perspective such as that provided by this book can probably be missed without detriment to the reader!… (mehr)
