I read both of these books and let me tell you, it was eye-opening for me.

Let's start with 100 Words of Affirmation Your Husband Needs to Hear. I'll admit, I think I'm pretty good about thanking my husband when I come home from work and all the laundry is done, or I see him emptying the dishwasher and putting the dishes away. He's an amazing father and I tell him this quite often. Where I discovered I was lacking is in telling him how amazing he is to ME. How I love spending time with him, how I love being wrapped in his arms, and how he makes me feel safe and protected. I assumed he knew these things, and maybe he does. But none of that absolves me of the duty of voicing my love to him.

Sure, we always kiss goodbye and goodnight and say "I love you". That's the easy part. Where I was lacking was actually telling him WHY I love him - why I still love him after 20 years of being together.
That changes now. This book lays out some simple things that, as a wife, we owe to our husbands: Recognition of sacrifices both big and small, being aware that my husband might have a different way of expressing his love than I expect but I need to look for those gestures.

Now, on to 100 Words of Affirmation Your Wife Needs to Hear. Reading this as the wife in the relationship, I will admit, if my husband said some of these things to me, I just might giggle. But, whether I find something out of character for my husband to say, is not the point. It's the fact that he's saying them. Period. My guy is pretty good at telling me I'm a good mom, thanking me for small things I do for our family, and I love him for that. I do work hard. I put everything I have in to taking care of my family. Despite that, I always feel that I could have done better - that I've somehow let my family down.

This book gives husbands some really simple ways to make sure their wives know where they stand with them, that her husband will always have her back, and that she's the ONLY one for him. Believe me guys, we need to hear it. A lot.

This bundle is wonderful. It should be on the bookshelf of every married couple and should be read often. Never lose sight of the fact that she chose you, and you chose her. That means a whole lot and that commitment should be continuously nurtured and reinforced.

I read 100 Ways to Love your Husband first. I ordered it, read it, and quickly realized that I was missing the mark when it came to loving my husband. After reading it, I immediately went to my husband and asked for his forgiveness. I thought I was an awesome wife, and in some ways, I truly think I am, but I had work to do. And work I did. Using the simple ways outlined in this book, our relationship strengthened, our love, while always there, was enhanced, and yes, our intimate times became, well....I'll let you figure that out.

My husband read 100 Ways to Love Your Wife (I have too since then), and he came to the same realization. He is an amazing man, don't get me wrong. I picked a good one for sure. But, he had work to do too. Working on us together has been amazing. Marriage is work, no doubt. But it's a journey, not a marathon, and it's a journey well worth taking together.

This book certainly changed our marriage - strengthened it, enhanced it, solidified it. As
most people have experienced, time makes you forget - makes you take for granted that your spouse knows what you're thinking. Seeing how this book affected my husband has been thrilling.

Reading it as a wife, I will admit that I did need my husband to do or say some of these things, even if I believed he was thinking or feeling them. It's still nice to hear the words, or feel the actions.

I would definitely recommend this to any husband. No, I'm not saying anyone needs fixing. But, from my own experience, it becomes easy to fall in to complacency in a marriage. Sometimes we all need a reminder to bring back those butterflies.

Let me start by saying, I am not usually one to read any kind of personal growth, relationship-building type of book. But, something about the 100 Ways to Love your Husband spoke to me.

These two books certainly changed our marriage - strengthened it, enhanced it, solidified it. As
most people have experienced, time makes you forget - makes you take for granted that your spouse knows what you're thinking. This bundle should not be a one-time read. It is an invaluable resource and one that should be kept handy and re-read lovingly.
