This is one of those short stories which made me wish for a sequel. Luckily, there is one. This first installment kicks off the process of how two men who have been best friends for years (both gay, but never lovers) finally manage to figure out there is more to their friendship than meets the eye.

Jason is sculptor who works with metal. Not a very successful one; he sees it more like a hobby. I love his way of looking at life, his focus once he wants something and his determination to make Troy understand how he feels about him. Troy, on the other hand, admires what Jason produces but never really says anything. Neither of them recognizes the subtle signals the other sends, and the tension of “will they – won’t they” kept me turning the pages.

If you like the ‘strong silent types’, men who find it difficult to talk about their feelings but have no problem letting their actions tell the story, and an artistic view of life, you might like this first of two wonderful short stories.

This book needs to come with a warning! If you don't like two alpha males interacting like they want to kill each other then go on to have violent sex instead, this book is not for you.

Having said that, I found myself totally caught up in the rush of this encounter. Bessette is mad and angry, and has no idea what Lasko has planned for him. When it happens? It is very, very hot - but only because Bessette clearly enjoys himself. He must be into pain more than he realizes, and that revelation carries him through being fisted (somewhat unrealistically, to put it carefully) then fucked.

If you like your sex a little violent, if you enjoy two strong men getting it on, and if you do not require even a shred of romance, you may like this short story.… (mehr)

Bessette and Lasko are at it again. Bessette says he has no idea why he follows Lasko's invitation to meet him at a fitness club, but by now it is abundantly clear that h just doesn't want to admit it. He is hot for Lasko, and the brand of abusive sex they share turns him on more than he ever thought possible. Interestingly, Lasko turns out to have a bit of a biting kink (as in being bitten) as well, so things may be about to even out...

If you like hot encounters in secret places, if almost-violent sex and quite a bit of pain sounds interesting (as a fantasy only, mind you!), and if you want to know how Bessette and Lasko behave off the ice, you may like this short story.… (mehr)
