The author is an Ojibway Elder, licensed psychotherapist, Korean War Veteran and recovered alcoholic. Blackwolf (Robert Jones M.S.) tells his story as he brings healing and deep-rooted presence to workshops, seminars, and gatherings.Blackwolf brings ancient healing and contemporary scientific approaches to address individual and social issues.
He directly addresses social injustice and personal responsibility. In finding the harmonies of culture, he erodes cultural abuse. These teachings promote healthy balance with humor, storytelling, and keen insight.

Readers and participants are called to reflect upon the wholeness of their lives, the interconnectedness of all things, and to redefine present value systems.
The dancing exposes our embodiment, the music/drumming invites and reflects both the spiritual and physical laws of the universe as well as Presence.

Blackwolf is an Ojibway culture resource, teaches at the University of Wisconsin, and is co-author of three books: The Healing Drum, Listen to the Drum, and Earth Dance Drum. Blackwolf is a tribal elder, born and raised on the Lac Corte Oreilles reservation in Northwestern Wisconsin. After enlistment and service in the Korean conflict, he attended pre-law school at Marquette University, and fell into alcoholism for twenty years. Sober since 1977, went on to become a licensed psychotherapist specializing in substance and cultural abuse, and raising consciousness about social injustice.
