The ancient Egyptians built many pyramids. Howefver, the pyramids at Giza are the biggest, best preserved, and the most best well-known pyramids ever constracted. The Giza pyramids were built between 2601 and 2515 B.C. It took thousands of men to builtd these giant structures. It also required countless tons of stone, mud, timber, and straw.
The pyramids of Giza have captured people's imaginations for thousands of years. These massive, mysterious phyramids will continure to teach lessons about the ancient people who built them for many years to come.

3. Write your feelings about the book in details.

The Egyptians were unaware of the importance and functions of a brain. They believed that it only took up space inside of a living person's head(See p 21).

It means that the ancient Egyptians hadn't the advance of medical science.

The Giza pyramids offer many things for Egyptologists to study. For instance, the shape of the pyramids continues to mystify experts(See p 36).

I wonder why they built such kind of shape. It's so hard to answer the question.

Pompeii

2. Write the summary of the book.

Pompeii was an ancient city on the coast of Italy. On an August day in A.D. 79, Mount Vesuvius erupted. In a matter of hours, a flourishing city became a ghost town. The town remained untouched for centuries. Because of this, scientist have been able to uncover the many of the city's wonderful treasure.
The future of Pompeii ruin is uncertain. Too many visitors might destroy the site that nature preserved for centuries. A group called UNESCO is trying to protect Pompeii declared a World Heritage Site.

3. Write your feelings about the book in details.

The tragedy of Mount Vesuvius destroyed many lives, but it preserved princess treasures. These gold snake bracelets and earrings were found next to the body of a woman(See p 11).

These jewelry were preserved completely and we can see how wealthy she was.

4. Write the words, phrases or sentences that impressed you most in the book and explain why they impressed you. Or you could your questions about the book.

The entire city seemed to have been frozen. Tables were discovered that were fully set for midday meals(See p 20).

It's very interesting that meals are remaining!
