Christopher Keane is the author of more than a dozen novels and screenplays. The author of the teleplay for The Huntress, the basis for the hit series on USA Network, Keane also served as writer and coproducer of the series. The widow of famed bounty hunter Ralph "Papa" Thorson takes up bounty hunting with daughter, Brandi, while being stalked by Papa's alleged assassin. By the same writer who did Papa's bio which was the basis of Steve McQueen's final film. Centered around the lethal stalker, the book has an escalating tension. Well-written, interesting, I'd like an update on the ladies. Basis of a cable TV dramatic series. Both books are recommended.
The result of a 60 Minutes profile, Keane's book focuses on the career of "Papa" Ralph Thorson, the country's only full-time bounty hunter (1976). The book was itself the basis of Steve McQueen's last movie. Numerous cases are described in an exciting narrative, peppered with some of Papa's own criminal justice philosophy. Thorson was killed in a bombing about 15 years later. Great story about a singular character.
