This Book Makes For An Interesting Read! It sheds a lot of light of light on The Boston Strangler Case and how it couldn't have been Albert DeSalvo! Read the book and judge for yourself!
In a class by itself, "The Boston Stranglers" is a true-crime book with meticulous research, great narrative technique, and a theory that has been hard to disprove, although other less talented authors have ripped it off. A good read, and a good model for other looking to write in this genre.
Basically I liked this, although I had a hard time listening to the killer taunt her while she was handcuffed to the bed. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the author made a point of the countdown in Garrett’s threats and then glossed over it in the end, didn’t attempt to explain the point of the countdown. When Liz finally is face to face with her enemy, the author doesn’t reveal him immediately, but places a bunch of things in your face, all of which point to a suspect. The computer handbook, the comment ‘oh, how he smiled’ and the fact that her killer was a big man all described possible killers. A common way to draw out an ending.… (mehr)
