I thoroughly enjoy Kate Kingsbury's writing. This book was no exception. She always leaves me ready to read the next book in her series.

Room with a Clue (Pennyfoot Hotel #1) von Kate Kingsbury

3½ stars.

It is a relief to read a cozy mystery that is a mystery and not a romance novel. The protangonist in this cozy is a recently widowed hotel owner who decides to investigate the death of a guest in order to protect the hotel and its staff. I like the Edwardian setting and the main character Cecily Sinclair but a few of her close friends from the nearby town were less convincing (Phoebe and Madeline). However, the mystery was well crafted so I will be reading at least one more in this series.… (mehr)

Doom With a View: A Merry Ghost Inn Mystery von Kate Kingsbury

A fun cozy that filled an overbusy time with ease.
The mystery is well done and the characters certainly are. The publisher's blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers, just enjoy! I really enjoyed reading it even if it did force me to stay up way too late!
