"I really enjoyed the analogy given about being the "iPod" in the marketplace. It's so true that the iPod is the in-demand item in pop culture right now. Apple has done a phenomenal job in marketing and advertising their product to the public. I completely agree with Noah when he wrote about making a product that will be successful because of its originality, but also for its shock factor on the public. It's so true that no matter how innovative your new product may be, its success will only be based on how well-timed you place it in the marketplace. On a sidenote, I really enjoy the pictures and quotes that are spurted throughout the book. It keeps my attention really captivated. (It must be the whole picture-book effect!)"… (mehr)

This book has given me a lot of insight into what makes smart marketing thrive in todays marketplace. Most books I have read in college deal with the dry and already obvious points. Chasing cool is the complete opposite, something you can really sink your teeth into. I definitely recommend this book.

This book has a ton of short stories and insight from people that have built their brands from the ground up. Really fun read, and can learn a thing or two as well.
