Vinyl Hayride Country Music Album Covers 1947-1989 by Paul Kingsbury. While this is technically a photo coffee table book, its pages and pages include a lot to read. If you like popular - and obscure - country music icons, imagery and songs, this book is worth picking up. It includes Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and others worthy of inclusion because of their prominence, oddball, comedic or straight-up artistic album cover art.
