I had to give this one a lot of thought.
There were things I loved about it & things I didn't.
I thought the basis of the story was good. What sex scenes we got was decent. Not 'Set the world on Fire' but hot enough.
My 2 major problems were the writing was a bit jumpy and the cliffhanger.
This is a short read of about 150 pages. Just as the story was getting really interesting 'BAM' cliffhanger. The End.
And the weird thing is, the next book is a different set of mc's.
Yet I felt cheated. In fact, I was so pissed off I put this in my Book Rejected shelf.
Now, after almost 9 years!, I'm curious about the rest of the series & I'm seriously thinking about picking it back up. At least for bk#2. See how it goes.

A great compilation of paranormal works by 15 amazing authors. Each book is as captivating as the next. Everything from vampires and witches to a whole new host of supernatural creatures. This compilation is also a fantastic introduction to a variety of new authors. I was only familiar with Charlene Hartnady's work, of which I am a big fan but I will definitely be following up on many of these authors' works.

It was a sweet story and a quick easy read.
"Wolf's Haven" is based around Tamara, who is escaping an abusive relationship. She meets a wolf Devin sexy hot who helps her to safety.
Wolf's Haven needed more conflict. The action scene(s) was/were way to quick for my liking. Elisa who is Devin's half-sister warned Tamara to be careful, but be careful of what and why; nothing happened. Maybe its a foreshadow for the other books. At this point I was hoping something would happen.
The book needed to be longer. Everything happened in such a short time frame. Lots of potentially story lines in book, but compacting them left the story feeling like it was lacking.
It was a nice quick sweet romantic read, but I felt like the story need more. Maybe more happens in the rest of the series.… (mehr)
