Lucy y Ernessa se han vuelto inseparables. Ernessa la ha absorvido. La está consumiendo. Lo que vi no era real. Y sé que tampoco era un sueño. Ernessa es un vampiro.
Tengo dieciséis años y estudio en un exclusivo internado americano, la Brangwyn School. Mi padre, un célebre poeta, se suicidó el año pasado, y mi madre no consigue salir adelante, así que paso mis días entre las paredes de esta prestigiosa escuela. Por suerte está conmigo Lucy, mi mejor amiga, con quien lo comparto todo, y este año podremos descubrir juntas cosas nuevas y prohibidas. Pero desde que llegó Ernessa, una chica nueva, misteriosa y enigmática, mi mundo ha dado un vuelco. Lucy pasa más tiempo encerrada en la habitación de Ernessa que en ninguna otra parte, se inventa excusas para no estar conmigo y están sucediendo cosas extrañas. Empiezo a sospechar que la chica nueva no es quien dice ser? Estoy convencida de que Ernessa es en realidad un vampiro, y haré lo que haga falta para demostrarlo.… (mehr)

Hard going, not my stile. Reminds me of [b:Let the Right One in|8731203|Let the Right One in|Anne Billson|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1348010760s/8731203.jpg|13604234] a book and a rather strange film which left out major plot point of the book, only hinting at them. As I have bought the film, I may opt to just see the film without reading the whole book. Given the structure of the writing, I cannot even skim the pages to see if it gets better. A case if tl;dr, possibly.
Trying to get to 30%; but still under 10%. Might decide to abandon this long before 30%.
Or I will read a few comments on the film and the book to decide that.
