That'll teach me! Buying books on the internet is fine, but you do need to do your research. I wanted to know a little more about my local geology and so, when I found this book second-hand for peanuts, I purchased, without checking..... It is an excellent book, but most clearly designed for very young children. I cannot fault the book, I am sure that it is very good at doing the job for which it is intended, I cannot blame the seller, who never suggested that it was an adult publication (No, not THAT kind of adult publication!) so, I must put my hand up and say, "Mea Culpa!"
