Mollie Kolatch

Golden Book sized book from 1956 reflects its time admirably. The pictures and words paint an ideal American family. Excellent book to compare now and then in both secular and religious activities. There is also nothing clever about the writing---no attempt to do cumulative verse or alliteration or find hidden pictures; just straight-forward text. In other words, young children of today might feel both bored and alienated. (Admittedly, I haven't yet read this to any to see if I'm right.)
