Jeffrey Konvitz

I read this book in the late 70s or very early 80s, and I remember it vividly. I was a young adult, and it was intense and scary. The only disappointment was the blech (yet predictable) beast interaction near the end. I am a reader who, sadly, forgets much of the details in the books I read, but 40 years later, I remember this one for the scare/creep factors.

It is your standard evil, hidden beast in the attic fare. Others have reviewed that it didn't age well which could very well be true, but since I read it in its time, I don't have that taint.… (mehr)

This is a classic horror that I missed out on the first time around because I never knew it was a book. I remember seeing the movie when I was a kid or bits of it anyway but I didn't realize it was adapted from a book.

A model with a dark past moves into a great apartment with affordable rent. All is well until she meets her neighbors!

Some of the language is a bit dated but the story itself stands up to the test of time.

I would rate it 4 of 5 stars.
