I really liked Evie’s Knight, I liked how Kimberly managed to make it steamy but it was still clean. I was hooked from the start. I liked that it wasn’t predictable like a lot of love stories. Evie was a great character, very head strong and she had morals which I felt proud of her for and Calvin wow who wouldn’t want a boyfriend like him. Obviously this book isn’t all about love there is a lot more to it. Like the Knight curse which he lost his mother and grandmother to.

Brilliantly written and a fantastic book… (mehr)

Reese's Cowboy Kiss is a short, predictable read with an interesting premise. On her final night as Pageant Queen at the exchanging of the crown ceremony, she witnesses the next Queen shot by the mad man who has stalked her.

This in and of itself was a good way of opening the story, but then the problems ensue. This entire chapter seems like a plot push for her to end up at Blake's family ranch as a protection witness. In less than 24 hours she watches the shooting and gets whisked away from Texas to Montana.

Blake's family takes in witnesses, and they had all been boys. Imagine his surprise when his newest charge is a woman. A bull rider and a pageant beauty with past experiences with self-centered twats have to learn that not all bull riders and pageant beauties are self-absorbed.

Both characters are rather one dimensional with little visible growth. The dangers from the first chapter are added to the end and rushed through a conclusion to tie up loose ends.

Reese's Cowboy Kiss is a decent clean read. While it has plot issues, who cares, it's an H.E.A. type book. It has little suspense, so those looking for more thrill seeking, edge of your seat, reads, look elsewhere. But, for those wanting an afternoon read that just makes you smile, pick it up.

Bree has a stalker who is going to be released from prison soon. In order to keep her safe, her brother moved her to a property he had purchased far from where she lives. Leaving her two children with her ex-husband, she went into hiding. Her brother also hired a man to protect her but she does know this. While at her brother's property, she is managing his orchard. Since she's working there, it won't raise anyone's suspicions about her. She met up with Greyson, who she knew in high school. They were immediately attracted to each other. Little did she know, he was the person her brother hired to protect her.

This is a well written romantic suspense that's exciting and easy to follow. I got caught up in the fear Bree felt about the stalker finding her and the romantic feelings Bree and Greyson had for each other. It had a wonderful ending that had me crying happy tears. I loved these characters. Bree has had a very bad time of it but is trying to be strong and hoping she will outsmart the stalker. Not only for herself but for her family's safety, too. I did get tired of her constant thoughts that she wasn't good enough though. Greyson was perfect for her. He helped Bree with the orchard and protected her at the same time.

I like Kimberly Krey's books and am so glad to have received this one in exchange for an honest review.

Reese’s Cowboy Kiss by Kimberly Krey (Sweet Montana Bride #1)

4 STARS

I liked Reese. She was coping with a tough change really well. I liked the other characters too.
The weak part of the story for me was weird guy at the beginning of the story. Reese witnessed a murder. She was sent from Texas to Montana to work on a ranch.

Blake was in charge of the ranch hands. He was surprised that the new hand that needed to hide out was a lady. He wondered what to do with her. He could not stop looking at her.

I thought it would be better if she did some other work than cooking a few nights a week personally.

The ranch hands really liked Reese and were willing to do things to get her attention. They were surprised to see her.

The romance of the book was good. Some long kisses and attraction to each other. I really liked the scenes of Reese and Blake opening up to each other.

Had some good humor, some action scenes and was romantic.

This was the first book in the series but the last one that was written. I have not read the other books but would like to. I would think it hard to write a series backwards.

I was given this ebook to read so I could honestly review it.
