The plot of this story was very compelling and had a fantastically twisted main character to pull it off. With a unique murder case to solve, the book had a lot of twists and turns that kept me reading. However, I was thrown off a bit by the dialogue and some of the author’s writing style when it came to things like grammar and syntax. While the story delivers its promised punch, it felt as if there were some things missing overall.
This book starts out in an apocalyptic type world. We’re introduced to a group of four friends, one of which is very sick. Knowing that she can’t travel much farther, she decides to stay behind and one member of the group stays with her while the others continue on in search of “home.” When it’s time for him to continue on and find his friends, there are plenty of obstacles along the way. Will he make it home or fall before he can find it?
This book has plenty of twists and turns, leaving the reader to wonder if the group will ever truly find the place they are looking for or not. Each character has their own personality leaving a rich reading experience. This is the kind of book where you connect to the characters in a way that leaves you rooting for their survival.

She is a horror story about a dark secret in a small town. She is a mysterious witch who kidnaps children from their home. Everything changes in this town for Michael when his sister is taken. With the help of his friends and a Detective Michael uncovers secrets and plots that help point toward some hope of saving his sister. The characters are very well developed. With some truly frightening moments. I enjoyed the plot and the story line was well written i look forward to reading more books by this author.… (mehr)

Definitely a psychological trip! My Abigail is a YA thriller focusing on a high school boy (Caleb) who’s been dumped by his parents and gets bullied at school. He doesn’t like much about his life, except for a girl named Abigail. She’s his light, the purpose of his life, but something isn’t quite right about her. The more Caleb learns about Abigail, the stranger his life becomes. This is a captivating read, pulling you in from the very beginning and holds you until the end, delivering all the secrets with a punch. Would recommend to anyone who’s a fan of suspenseful writing!
