I stepped into this book while realizing that some friends of mine, who I know for having been adopted, particularly the male ones, amazingly fit the pattern and I wished to help them. As I got the book and took a deeper look, I was surprised to see myself fitting the pattern! In spite of the difficult subject, the book is well written and easy to understand. Honestly I generally stay away from psychologist, but I must say it is the first time I met somebody, even though on paper, who really rescued me and offered true solutions. I didn't read most of it until after we had worked through the problem. Reading through the life experiences of the "people" profiled in the book does make it easier for me to understand why he may act the way he does sometimes.
I would recommend this as a good psychology book if you are interested in how childhood relationships affect adult relationships in a relatively easy to read format.… (mehr)
