Generally, I don't finish a book I don't like so it never appears here. This one is an exception. I didn't really like it but I'm not sure it's not worth reading. It's one of the darkest mysteries I've ever read. Gabriel and Ingrid Santerre are a couple with money and power and they kill young prostitutes. Caroline Reece, NYPD detective, wants to prove this and she wants it badly. While you read the book, you can literally see a black and white movie of it in your head complete with ominous sound track. Interesting.… (mehr)

This is strange book. It talks about autism child. It goe really is a novel about a boy that has Asperger Syndrome. It has goes though the life of a boy that has Asperger Syndrome and he has younger brother.

Jacob is accused of murder and they end of going to trail and Jacob acts out and has outburst and everyone doe not understand this quirks. They find out what really happens at the end of the story. Emma is franstic and try to explain about her son condition.

Ondanks dat het lijkt op een gewone roman begint het al heel snel te boeien. Ik vond het heerlijk om te lezen en gelukkig was het een dik boek waarvan ik genoten heb. Leuke regels!

I picked this book up when a relative was throwing out a pile of books. Seemed to be a crime story - and the front page included the word EROTIC. So now, researching for my novel, seemed like a good choice. So disappointing. Mainly made up of conversations between dysfunctional characters, going nowhere, advancing the story little.

And then, reality check. Police that don't follow process. Police that discharge weapons in apartment buildings and no one notices, no reports filed, the shot person escaping with no pursuit or report.

And every police person except one or two on the payroll of the rich bad guy.

And a dead person, carried by the killer in a golf bag, into a police station, with the police completely aware, and no one chooses to open the bag.

And nothing erotic in any sense...

And then I was just glad to finish...
