After reading this book, I’ve been finding myself finishing my household chores while yelling, “Ganbatte!” in my mind. Finish putting away that clothes basket, “Ganbatte!” Finish a few more emails, “Ganbatte!” Write this review, “Ganbette!” I’ve been an aficionado of Japanese culture since I was a child and this book was fun. The author, Albert Liebermann, shows you how to use the spirit of Ganbatte, which means, “Do your best and don’t give up!” Along the way, he shares stories, examples, and tips on how you can incorporate this “can do” attitude in your life. I will now be on the lookout for Liebermann's other title, Ikigagi: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life. If you like Marie Kondo’s books, you enjoy learning about Japanese culture, or you just need a kick in the seat of your pants to start a project, this is a good book for you.
