I am a big fan of the Frank Lloyd Wright story. I watched a couple of documentaries but wanted a book to pore over the details. This is the first book I bought because it was cheap. It is a truly magical little gem. The pictures are pretty good. The text is very good. The book is too small physically. One almost needs a magnifying glass to enjoy it. I have been very slowly collecting the others in the 1994-96 'Wright at a Glance' series. There are 13 I know of. This is the list in alphabetical order.

Someone has made a cute mini bookshelf using the Wright style and woodwork. Nice but it only holds 12! Maybe in 10 years time when I have the set I will make a bookshelf of my own:-) I am in no rush as I know from collecting that it is better to travel hopefully than to arrive (quoting RLS). I am looking forward to getting glass designs. I have Carla Linds full book on Lost Buildings and it contains not nearly enough photos as no more can be made! So I am not excited about the tiny lost buildings in this series.
Overall a delightful book and series of publications.… (mehr)
