Her first sweet romance, Wrapped Up in Christmas, was Hallmark Publishing's first release to hit the USA TODAY and Wall Street Journal's bestseller lists; and was a finalist in the Bookseller's Best Award. Janice also writes contemporary Medical Romances for Harlequin, and her books have won numerous awards, including the National Readers' Choice Award, the Golden Quill for Best Short contemporary Romance and for Best First Book, Romantic Times Magazine's American Title, and the Holt Medallion Award of Merit.
Janice lives in Tennessee with her Prince Charming, their seven kids, her vivid imagination, an adorable Maltese named Halo who's the true princess of the house and a bunch of unnamed dust bunnies who took up permanent residence after Janice started her writing career. I really wanted to like this. It's a Hallmark book at Christmas, so I knew exactly what to expect. And if this was a movie, I probably would have ate it up. However, the main character is so worried about the danger her son could be in, because his dad dies doing something dangerous, that she cant enjoy life. And I do not speak of daredevil escapes. Her son, at 6 wants to be a firefighter, and he loves everything firefighting. He makes friends with a local firefighter. And mom worries about the danger of firefighting. He constant worrying grated after a while, and took the enjoyment our of what was supposed to be a Hallmark movie on paper.… (mehr)
OH ,HOW I CRIED!! My heart went out to Bodie as he was the only member of his team to survive an IED bomb and he felt unworthy .Shipped off to Germany to heal, then he was shipped back to the states his nurse handed him a hand made Quilts of Valor quilt and suddenly he was glad that an old lay made it! He thought to send a thank you card, but decided to thank her in person. I thought it wonderful that Sarah was set on fulfilling her Aunt Jean's desire to turn her home into a bed and breakfast when she died. Her mom had died giving birth to her, but the "Butterflies" had taken turns to raise her. Wrapped In Christmas was a wonderful story!!… (mehr)
This was an easy read but did lose my attention at times. No surprises with this one.
