If you haven’t laid hands on the book yet, here’s your clue to stop reading. This review has spoilers.

This book was one of my slowest reads. I had a hectic schedule this week but even in the past when I’ve wanted to read a book in a hectic schedule, I’ve done it way quicker than this one. The plot wasn’t generic, per se, but it didn’t have enough power to keep you hooked. It’s not DNF material, it is actually good if you ask me, but you don’t want to miss anything for it. Initially, I loved where this was going, and it was actually endearing how simple Grant and Molly’s relationship was. And the turtles, oh those cute creatures, they were actually my favorite characters, if you ask me. But as the story progressed, it was, well, a little boring. On Mateo’s part, I felt he should’ve told Grant about his conversation with Molly. No, not to create a drama, but maybe, it would’ve helped them a lot. Mateo did it to protect his friend, and Grant would’ve understood, because Molly did too, but the confrontation would probably have been better.

On Claire’s part, I think we should’ve seen her and Lance more. I know it was all so hectic for her because of the wedding, but it felt like she abandoned, or somehow forgot, that Grant existed, for most part of the book. It was the best brother-sister relation when the book began but it faded as quickly. The book was well collected and the story was nice, too. But somehow, it felt like there were a lot of loose ends that could’ve been tied and the characters seemed rather disheveled and disconnected.

The Beach Escape by Rachel Magee is a sweet Hallmark style romance. This is the type of book that you easily get immersed into the story and fall in love with the characters.

Molly Lawrence needs an escape from her life after her fiancé dumps her for her best friend at their rehearsal dinner no less. She takes a job as a traveling vet which brings her to Emerald Cove, Florida. On her first day, she has a very unexpected patient, a giant loggerhead sea turtle! Grant Torres is in charge of the local turtle rescue and is in need of a new vet that could help parttime. Molly knows very little about turtles but is determined to do things that she is not comfortable doing. Grant and Molly get closer and closer during their adventures together that push Molly out of her comfort zone. Can Molly forget her past and move forward with someone new after the devastating betrayal from her best friend and fiancé? Could they work if they both don't plan on staying?

I loved this light beach read. If you like a good colleagues to friends to lovers trope this book is worth the read. No spice in this book either.

Magee concocts the perfect recipe for romance. Heartache and humor with a good dosage of wisdom thrown in for good measure. Beach Wedding Weekend gives what if a little spit shine and focuses on the right now. Paige gave her heart to a far off dream and found her forever a tad closer to home. Sugar meets spice and delivers heartwarming.

This was a totally entertaining Contemporary Romance book.
Although slightly predictable and not very humorous, as the title claims, this book is very well written and has a relevant and strong message within the plot.

There are some twists, but mostly goes from scene to scene with a smooth "flow" and adventures to keep the reader enthralled.

This novel is, basically, about a woman who finds herself as a wedding planner, when in fact, she began her career to be an event planner. However, she was an over-achiever so gained the reputation as the best in her field.

She finally received the opportunity she desired by committing to a prestigious lawyer's daughter's wedding, he would in turn let her plan his next two events.

Junior partner, second in his graduating class at Harvard, was also an over-achiever but was very different in his habits than the wedding planner, Reece. In fact they annoyed each other. The senior partner in the law firm assigned Griffith to work with Reece, to make sure it all went perfect un a startling short amount of time. Reece could not comprehend how she could fulfill this challenge with, uptight, Griffith, tagging along! Because she was an optimist and a professional, she would do it!

There was one scene with Reece's parents I would have liked developed more, plus, involving his parents more, but all in all, it was a great story!

The characters were very well portrayed and the scenes easily visualized. The reader could feel a close connection to the characters and events. The Book Cover and Title were both a great "fit".

I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating. This book a=was gifted me with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review.
