- Isaac Marion grew up in the mossy depths of the Pacific Northwest, where he worked as a heating installer, a security guard, and a visitation supervisor for foster children before publishing his debut novel in 2010. Warm Bodies became a #5 New York Times bestseller and inspired a major Hollywood film adaptation. It has been translated into twenty-five languages worldwide. Isaac lives in Seattle with his cat and a beloved cactus, writing fiction and music and taking pictures of everything.

I really enjoyed this. The writing was a little choppy for me, but I get what the author was trying to do with it.
I am not a fan of zombie books, shows, anything, but this was really great. It was funny and dark and gross but still happy. There is a second coming out next year. I can't wait.
This book was oddly sweet. There are very few books where the zombie tells the story from his point of view, so there you go. Well written, and had me not wanting to put it down. Actually, it is one of those that I read, and the next couple books will not even compare. Oddly, after seeing a picture of the author, I pictured him as R rather easily.
I can't wait to read the sequel.

teen/adult audio fiction (3hr 23 min), short prequel to Warm Bodies - follows teens Julie (with her parents traveling in a car searching for a safe place to settle) and Nora (with her little brother) as they navigate a world full of dangerous flesh-craving zombies and the occasional less-dangerous infected-but-not-quite-homicidal person.
A satisfying zombie novella.
