I'm in the acknowledgments! It's good; I can vouch for it. :) To be released in February.
I was very impressed with this collection of essays on patristic Christology, edited by Peter Martens, with whom I had the privilege of studying at YDS. The volume is accessible yet learned, and often doxological in tone...the way theology should be written. Highlights included the chapters by Khaled Anatolios on Athanasius, Christopher Beeley (also a teacher of mine) on Gregory of Nazianzus, Rowan Williams and Lewis Ayres on Augustine, and John McGuckin on the Chalcedonian definition. Good stuff all the way through; highly recommended.… (mehr)
