What I like: The book is told from Cody's POV and I am starting to really enjoy books that are from the male POV entirely. If you knew Ilsa's secret from the beginning, the book wouldn't be as good, so not having Ilsa's POV is important. Cody is very likable as a person which was nice. While he alludes to sleeping around a bit, he is far from a manwhore which is great.
What I didn't like: I felt it was pretty predictable. I figured out what Ilsa's secret was pretty quickly. The book was still good though and even though I had figured it out, it didn't stop me from reading.
This is part of a series. The first two books are too racy for me but I was able to read this one without having read the previous two. Apparently Cody is the only member of the band who isn't into group sex... (nothing wrong with wanting to read that if its up your alley; it is just not for me!)… (mehr)

4.5 stars. Great setting in beautiful Montana and Shea is clearly in love with her town and her land. Thinking her life is just fine living alone with Wolfie as her only companion in her grandfather's little cabin, Shea is getting by. She is a strong woman with a potty mouth, but she is real. When Rhys pops in her life, she is unsettled and not happy about it. She finds she can't deny the attraction and thinks, "What the Hell?" Nothing worth its weight is easy and they both have to work hard to either stay together or forget each other. Rhys however, is a player and there to do a job, screw around and leave. He doesn't even expect to like Shea, and negotiates with his boss for hazard pay. But the attraction is undeniable. Great story, great characters, great setting. Brynn has had a rough time of it. Her last boyfriend beat the crap out of her, repeatedly, and she's scarred, scared, and lonely.

Kian watches Brynn for a while at a local bar they both frequent. He recognizes the pain in her eyes and the way she keeps to herself. He follows her to her car each night, even though she isn't aware, because he wants to make sure she's safe.

When they finally meet, formally, the sparks are instant and intense.

These characters are easy to fall in love with. You will not be sorry you spent time reading this book.… (mehr)
