It's been a while since I've read the book, but I keep refering back...and refering others to the book. The idea that Luke and Acts were written as legal briefs brings another dimension to the story of the beginning of Christianity. The added depth that the inclusion of apologetics is a plus

Mauk's perspective on Acts is, as far as I've been able to tell, unique. He defends his position well. At the very least, this book will make the reader rethink their perspective on Acts as a general history of the early church.
