This is a well written short story but leaves too many hanging threads to get a better rating than 3 stars.
There's interesting and believable world building. The story is sexy, but not overly graphic. It takes place in Portland, where Damien manages a cafe and works as a high-end escort upstairs, where the owner keeps rooms that clients enter through a magical door. Damien gets involved with his favorite client, Ty, who is a shape shifter. There are a few stumbling blocks for them to reach their HEA. The other characters in the story are interesting also, I look forward to reading more books in this series.… (mehr)
