A concise introduction to scottish baking; my copy arrived with a bookmark. While the little book lacks a table of contents, there is an index which serves to locate recipes. All recipes are in both metric and english. It is important for the American baker to note that dry ingredients in these recipes must be weighed rather than measured out using cups. The author has, however, thoughtfully included oven temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit. The most interesting recipe in this title is Scripture Cake, which requires the baker to refer to the Bible for ingredients. Clever!… (mehr)
