Über den Autor
Gerald Mayr studied biology and physics in Munich and Berlin. Since 1997 he has been curator of the ornithological collection of the Senckenberg Research Institute in Frankfurt am Main. His research focuses on the avian fossil record and the interrelationships of the extant bird groups.
