A collection of all the men to have played representative cricket for New Zealand and through the years (or at least until 2010 when the book was published). Every player gets a bare minimum of biographical information but that’s enough to get the intriguing news of the nineteenth century cricketer who moved to South America to found a colony only to be killed by the natives, and the cricketer that disappeared leaving debts and his family but taking a large amount of money. They eventually discovered that he had done a runner to Australia, remarried and died there.

As an added bonus we also get a (short) list of all the Fijian first-class cricketers over the years.… (mehr)
