The Edge of Justice (Burnes Brothers) von Clinton McKinzie

This is Clinton McKinzie's first novel but it reads as if written by an seasoned author. Anton Burns is a Special Agent who's tracking down the details on an apparent climbing accident victim. But, Anton is working in the shadow of his own demons from a bust gone bad. This is nearly more of a novel about rock climbing than anything else but it is a story that grabs you and holds on. The author notes say he's working on a prequel.

Badwater (Burnes Brothers) von Clinton McKinzie

Sad to see the end of this series. Enjoyable combining my love of mystery/thrillers and rock climbing into great stories with characters I would love to know and climb with... maybe not Roberto, he scares me a little. I wish there were more, but it's been 13 years since the last book so I think it's safe to assume that the author has moved on.

Point of Law von Clinton McKinzie

After a long break in this series (read two of the previously) I picked up this one that had long sat on my shelf and realized how much I really liked this series. I will now need to find the others in the series. As a rock climber I, of course, am drawn to the climbing scenes, but my favorite genre are mystery/thrillers so this book is just up my alley.

The relationship of the Burns brothers is a good play off of one another. McKinzie's characters are perfect and beautiful but damaged both physically and mentally. This plot is fast-paced and full of adventure.

Entertaining arm-chair thrill ride for sure.… (mehr)

Very fun read. Really well developed characters. I will absolutely continue reading the rest of the series.
