Really good for media and cultural criticism.

Less strong for sociology, but it's selfishness that makes me wish it was had more sociology -- it's billed as cultural studies. Anyone interested in modern culture and media, especially those with more familiarity with old Hollywood, should not be disappointed.

As with any collection, some chapters are stronger than others; I particularly recommend the ones on Rita Hayworth/Ingrid Bergman and Bill Clinton/Wag the Dog.
