Cocktail Book Signings Highlight Tales of the Cocktail’s Shots of Inspiration More than 35 cocktail authors will be available for book signings at the on-site Octavia Bookstore, being held throughout this summer’s Tales of the Cocktail® Please join Octavia Books at Tales of the Cocktail® 2013 where we are back with the on-site book store in the lobby of Hotel Monteleone at the most spirited festival this summer. Browse the expansive offering of spirits literature and meet the world’s most accomplished cocktail writers, including this year’s Spirited Awards finalists. These signings give unprecedented access to mixologists, bartenders, master distillers and special editions that are hard to find elsewhere. This is your chance to get to meet these knowledgeable authors, discuss their work and get a signed copy of their book. Some authors include Jeff Berry, Mark Ridgwell, David Wondrich and Amy Stewart. And, along with the books, we will be offering a wide selection of Bitters from around the world, including rare and hard-to-find labels. 10% of all sales will go to the New Orleans Culinary and Cultural Preservation Society, a non-profit organization committed to preserving the unique culture of cocktails and cuisine in New Orleans and beyond. The on-site bookstore hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM till sometime in the afternoon. Tales of the Cocktail is an internationally acclaimed festival of cocktails, cuisine and culture held annually in New Orleans. The event brings together the best and brightest of the cocktail community—award-winning mixologists, authors, bartenders, chefs and designers—for a five-day celebration of the history and artistry of making drinks.
