Apples On A Stick Juv von Barbara Michels
Had I known about this book when I was in grade 1-3, I would have been extremely happy. I am familiar with about half the folklore of the compilation as they often accompanied hand and jump rope games when I was young. Those that I am not familiar with, I’m sure I would have loved to learn while on the playground.
Until now, I did not know these rhymes had roots in African American Folklore. This is a wonderful compilation as it assigns African American children right heritages while sharing the pieces with everyone.… (mehr)

Apples On A Stick von Barbara Michels
This book would be good to use during poetry or when studying about African American Culture. I think student will like it because of the interesting rhymes in it.
