A man is lured into a vmmorpg world because he should be able to read his wife there. He is not a gamer himself but he gets lucky, finds a sorcerer rare class and some friends.
the MC makes some bad decisions and i really hate how he acts at the end of the book but the story itself is fun and has some interesting twists. I really like the female supportive character more.

This reminded me a lot of the TV show Quantum Leap, except that when Dan Jenkins "leaps" into someone, he doesn't have a crew of people to tell him who he is and feed him clues as to what might be going on. He has to figure it out himself, and it's sometimes very ugly.

I did find the first part of the book a little hard to get through, because of the terrible people that Dan jumps into. But I do enjoy stories where justice is served.

I'd like to see more stories of Dan Jenkins' adventures, and will be watching for future works by the author.… (mehr)

For me, this one was a bit slower than the first, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. Each ride is like Dan is peeling off the layers of an onion until we're left with the stinky bits that make you wanna cry. It's fun to see just how despicable the ridees can be. And who doesn't like a story of justice, where evil gets its due?

More fun "rides" with Dan Jenkins. And the world of hoppers has expanded. Fun and more fun.

Lately, I've had trouble reading other books because I didn't feel like picking them up again. Not with this one. Whenever I had spare time, it was spent on reading this book.

It's fun watching Dan make other people feel awkward with his straight-forward sense of humor. So often I found myself chuckling at his quips. It's interesting to go on the rides, trying to determine who is good and who is bad, and what appropriate end they should meet. :)… (mehr)
