It seemingly took forever to get going in the book, mostly because it's explanations of finding your phase and type were akin to reading a math textbook. I found the descriptions of each were lovely, insightful, and right on the money. I'm not sure I got the correct calculation of my phase through the book, but used an online calculator and got my result well enough. I did recommend it's reading of the phases to two other friends.
Awesome illustrations and many different fairy legends from around the world. Definetly worth the 19 dollars and 32 cents!!!
Not a bad book on some basic ideas about the subject. It’s a little on the more New Age still then my liking and the author does generalize other cultures a fair amount here and there. The book brings up links here and there with the ancient druids, a few Native American tribes beliefs, and such without ever giving any citation to a verifiable source which to that extent kind of hurt the books creditability to me.
The book does go into a nice basic introduction into working with angels, nature spirits, devas, fairies, and so on. The information is a nice kick starter.
One thing I really like about this book is how the author mentions time and time again to always use common sense when working with spirits and being. To never take things at face value and follow what is told of them blindly. I liked how the author gave some warning about the fact that some spirits may not always have good intentions.
All in all not a bad book despite a few things here and there that I didn’t like.… (mehr)
