This is on the State Department's list of recommended reading for those looking for a career in the Foreign Service, and I can see why. This book opened my eyes to the many issues surrounding immigration -- a subject that people tend to take a knee-jerk party line stance on instead of considering the complex issues associated with it.
Worth a read for anybody interested in politics or American racial relations in general. Absorbing and persuasive without being strident or argumentative. A simple, clear plea for sound immigration policy.… (mehr)
