2861 Victory Must Be Ours: Germany in the Great War 1914-1918, by Lawrence Moyer (read 14 Apr 1996) It was sheer joy to read this fascinating book written by a man described as "an eminent German history scholar" who has taught at Coe and in the Connecticut University system and now devotes his time entirely to historical research. It tells of Germany in World War One, and I thought it a good book, with a somewhat different slant on those fantastic years from 1914 to 1918. The description of reaction at the end--11 AM on Nov 11, 1918--gave me goose pimples. This book is not pretentious but is well-researched.… (mehr)
