The violent peace von Carl Mydans

a survey of the brushfire wars that came after the Korean truce to the time of publication. It was a bit of an eye-opener to me, but not the first book I had read in this area.

Thomas; A novel of the life, passion and miracles… von Shelley Mydans

Decided to start reading this when visiting Canterbury. Fascinating read about the life of Thomas Becket, the archbishop who was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral. Then read the part of Schama's History of Britain about Becket. A very good read.
