Ocean Friends von Robert Lyn Nelson
This book made me think of Hawaii, primarily because you can't go anywhere in Hawaii without seeing the author/illustrator's art galleries. The book is beautiful. The writing is okay, but the illustrations are amazingly well done. The book would probably have gotten an okay rating if it had been illustrated by anyone else.
