Roy Newquist

This is a collection of short interviews with prominent novelists, playwrights, critics, and publishers etc, conducted in 1963 & 1964. I found it quite interesting, and it has led me to some potential further reading. It would seem that what's old is new again; many of those interviewed express concerns, for example, over the state of the novel, the state of the theatre, and the place of sex and violence in art generally.
