Rezensionen

I appreciate that there's some humor and self-reflection in this book. It isn't simply didactic, from a position of expertise and expcting you can learn how to be a perfect listener.
He admits his own mistakes and self-involvement, because, as he says, listening is a skill and an art.
It requires practice and attention every time, it may eventually get easier, but it will still require attenion and focus.
Understanding empathy makes it easier.

This book is full of examples of how to listen (and how not to). I always enjoy reading it although sometimes it feels like I am reading the same things over and over.
Nichols goes into a lot of the psychological aspects of communication, which can be a little heavy at times.
