A deeply disturbing biography, cloaked in academic analysis but completely gripping, about a Limpopo rural high school teacher who was bewitched by his father. Jimmy Mohale died before the textbook crisis thrust the Limpopo basic education system into the limelight - but how can the traumatic effects of witchcraft not have affected his performance as a teacher? Witchcraft is a lived reality for many people in South Africa. It seems to have grown in influence in the last 30 years.
