history of the airport, from cow pastures onward; in addition to chapters covering commercial aviation, the first international airports, and flying in the '20s and '30s, one contains "a gallery of contemporary jetports from five continents that graphically illustrates just how far the airport has progressed in the seventy-five years since it was first called an 'aerial garage.'"
