Stunning watercolor artwork brings nature to life as it helps the youngest readers count from one through ten. But the cat, the turtles, the dogs, the bunnies, the dragonflies, the ladybugs, the birds, the bumblebees, the inchworms, and the butterflies are all hiding among the profusion of brightly-colored flowers gracing each page and young readers will delight in searching out each of them as they count the numbers on each page.

This picture book, a treat for the eyes, is sure to delight readers young and old alike.

This book counts the animals that can be found in a garden. The book is full of light and warm and great book to share during spring time when the flowers start to bloom and color come alive in a garden. The book is great for math and science.

Counting in the Garden von Kim Parker

This is a good example of a picture book/fiction because it is about counting, animals and gardens that we see in every day life. The illustrations are detailed and you have to look throughout the pictures to find what items the book is counting throughout. It gets children interacted and excited to participate.

Counting In The Garden von Kim Parker

Counting in the Garden by Kim Parker is a colorful book about counting. Each page features a different number and amount of animals that can be found in a garden. I would use this book with younger children to help them recognize their numbers and learn how to count them. The children could take turns pointing to the aminals on the page to make sure they can account for every animal on the page.
