Nathan and Julie have just moved into their new farmhouse when a stray cat climbs in and makes itself at home in front of their fire. As Julie tries to find out who owns the cat, she discovers that the original farmhouse was burnt to the ground by angry neighbours. Nathan meanwhile follows the cat outside and reaches under the floor when it appears to be stuck there.
